Please note the following seasonal changes
- The outdoor 25m pool will not be heated however it will be available as a cool pool – ideal for cold water therapy or a refreshing swim for the brave polar bears among us!
- The kids’ novelty pool will be closed during winter.
- Our gyms will continue to operate on normal trading hours and close at 9:00pm as usual.
We want to acknowledge the impact of our outdoor 25m pool being in non-heated mode during winter. This decision was not made lightly. As a non-profit organisation we’re committed to using our resources as responsibly as possible. The high cost of heating the outdoor pools during the colder months, along with the environmental impact, were key considerations. By pausing heating of the 25m pool over winter, we’re able to make significant cost savings that directly support the vital work we do with local clubs and community groups.
We also want to reassure customers that they will still have access to our heated 50m pool. To help support continued access for our early morning outdoor 25m pool users, from 5:00am there will be three public lanes available in our heated 50m pool. We’ll also be reserving one lane specifically for recreational use, which can be used for swimming or other water-based activities. In addition, our heated indoor 25m pool is available for hydrotherapy, which may suit some customers’ needs during the colder months.
We appreciate your understanding and support, and we’ll continue to look for ways to meet the needs of all our members in a sustainable and responsible way.
